Know Where You’re Going

Know Where You’re Going

Golden Nugget: Discovering what really happened to you when you became a Christian is critical.

Daily Message:

God wants you to be confident about what happened to you when you became a Christian. He wants you to know that his supernatural work has taken place—not just hope that it has. He wants you to have a settled certainty in “the author and perfecter” of your faith, Jesus Christ.

The Apostle John shared God’s desire, telling his fellow believers: “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.”

God wants us to know beyond any doubt that we have eternal life—the very life of Jesus Christ. As Christians, we no longer need to fear the future or death; we can rest in the knowledge that God’s promise of eternal life is true.

Why don’t you take a moment to thank God for the gift of life eternal?

Consider This:

  • What are you struggling to know for sure about your new faith?
  • What steps can you take to resolve your struggles?

Take Action:

Write out your top three questions about your relationship with God. Begin a discovery process that could include prayer, Bible study, and speaking to people you know that have chosen to follow Jesus. Take good notes as you make your discoveries.
